It will allow you to go back and undo one of the moves that may have turned bad for you. For instance, you can rewind back in order to save an ally or undo a mistake.
However, you will have to use the Rewind Mechanic before committing to another move in Fire Emblem Engage. The mechanics will be much more clear once the game is running in full flow.
Is there Rewind Mechanic in FE Engage?
Yes, the Japanese Twitter account of Fire Emblem has all but confirmed the existence of this mechanic in the new game. The Rewind Mechanic falls under the Dragon’s Time Crystal that will allow you to do so. As mentioned earlier, you can use it to save an ally from defeat or if you want to undo a wrong move.

What is the Rewind Limit in FE Engage?
According to the video in the Twitter announcement, it seems that there is no limit to the number of rewinds you make. However, comparing the game’s previous installments, a fixed number of charges will be set soon. We will soon update the answer to this.
