Facebook holds a developer conference called F8 that connects developers and others who build the products and services Facebook and its subsidiaries offer consumers.

When Is F8?

There are no announcements regarding a 2023 F8 event.

Facebook canceled F8 in 2022, saying it needed to “gear up on new initiatives that are all tailored towards the next chapter of the internet, and the next chapter of our company too: building the metaverse.”

The company canceled the 2020 event and didn’t set up a virtual event. Instead, Mark Zuckerberg and others provided updates to announce products and software updates.

How to Register and Attend F8

Since no official announcement has been made regarding F8, there is no way to register for it yet. As soon as we know something, we’ll post it here.

What Announcements are Expected?

Facebook could announce anything from changes to its social media apps to updates for physical products like Oculus Quest 2 or Portal. It also added Novi, a digital currency wallet, to its portfolio in May 2020, so it’s probable some announcements will be made regarding that, too.

Zuckerberg cryptically commented at the 2019 F8 conference, “the future is private.” Given that the company’s more recent attempts to ban certain types of content on its social media sites, it’s also probable related announcements could occur.
