We, the avid members of the Android community, worship CyanogenMod– the awesome Android OS developer community that regularly releases the latest custom ROMs for our android devices. Thus, when we learned that CyanogenMod founder Steve Kondik left Samsung we had to find out why. Initially rumor was rife that there was a connection between the recent dispute between Samsung and CyanogenMod and Steve Kondik’s abrupt leaving of Samsung. However, Kondik himself has clarified that he had left Samsung on “amicable” terms and that there was no drama involved. He also said working in Samsung was great but he wanted to pursue something different.

He also praised Samsung new flagship phone, the Galaxy S4 and said that during his stay in Samsung he got to spend a lot of time with the device and that the S4 blows the competition out of the water and that the S4 has such high benchmarks that it can run any of our favorite apps flawlessly.  However, Kondik didn’t seem pleased with TouchWiz. He believes that the Touchwiz UI seems more primitive and will remind the users of the good old Froyo days.

Speaking on his departure from Samsung and other things Kondik posted the following on his Google+ page:
